The 7th of March 2020 – Our wedding
Our #aMMazinglove – day started wonderful with a welcoming ray of sunshine that transformed into a really sunny, and hot morning. The make-up artists started working on the faces of Marhensia, close family and the bridesmaids, while Michael, the male family members and groomsmen could sleep a while longer.
It promised to be a really hot day during the morning photoshoot with the bridesmaids, groomsmen and close family. Traditionally the bride and groom can’t see each other the morning of the wedding day. We didn’t choose to do it as strictly as that, but chose to not see each other after the preparation with all the make-up and putting on of the clothes started. The whole preparation was an adventure, with a mixture of feelings from excitement and joy, to being a little anxious about how the day was going to unfold.
Before Michael was able to see the bride the bridesmaids prepared a series of challenges for him and the groomsmen. Only after successfully ending the challenges could Michael see his bride-to-be. Fortunately they succeeded…  and Michael could meet his bride. Â
The ceremony itself was beautiful and almost perfect apart from the rain at the end. Thank God for perfect timing! He knows what’s best. The rain gave extra color to the already stunning setting at the cliff top villa of Plenilunio. Plans had to be changed to have dinner inside because of the rain. Luckily the rain stopped in time for the first dance and the afterparty to start. In between Michael was surprised by a group dance by Marhensia.
In the gallery below are some impressions of this #aMMazinglove-day. Enjoy!
